Happy Thanksgiving!

Danica lately: When Danica drops something or makes a mistake, she says, “It’s just an accident mommy”. I tell her I don’t mind as long as she helps me clean up! She has mastered her 24 piece puzzles. I’m going to get her a few more for Christmas. Danica still loves her little doll house, so we asked Santa to bring her a big one for Christmas ;) Danica officially knows all the days of the week and all the months of the year. She also knows the first letter of all her preschool friend’s names. She still asks to “dress up” every night. She loves to dance. She loves to play the memory game. She loves to have tea parties. She is excited that Granddaddy and Addie have birthdays coming up and wants to eat cupcakes. We are having so much fun. Life is good!

Mommy lately: Since our FPU group meets Thursday nights and we aren’t meeting Thanksgiving, we joined our friends Chris and Ashley for Sunday night group. They are the leaders of their group and have so much fun. They really inspired me to consider leading a group when our church hosts FPU again next year. We are doing so well and even paid off a loan! We have even been an inspiration to Joe’s mom and he is working on a budget for her. FPU has really been a blessing in our family. Speaking of blessings, the holiday season is the perfect time to bring blessings to so many needy families. I recently helped JWA sort food at the Food Bank and will be helping them purchase gifts for the children at the Howell Center. Joe and I are also contributing to Backpack Pals and chose an Angel from the Angel Tree. My gym is hosting “Turbo for Tots” on December 5 and I’m taking canned foods when I run the 5k Turkey Trot tomorrow. Joe’s maternal family also sponsors 2 children at the Children’s Home.

I’m so excited to spend time with family for Thanksgiving! “Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is coming up!” Danica tells me just about every day! They are learning all about Thanksgiving at Preschool and I’m reading a book about Thanksgiving and what it means to thankful every night. Today I went to her preschool for a Thanksgiving lunch. Danica and her classmates made Turkey placemats. They were so cute and she was so excited to show me hers. I’m thankful for her excitement over this holiday. I’m thankful for all the joy she brings to my life. I’m thankful for her preschool and all the loves that surrounds that place every day. I’m thankful for a wonderful husband who loves me and adores our daughter. I am thankful for wonderful family and friends who love and support us. Most of all, I’m thankful for a loving God that makes it all possible. He is so faithful and so constant. There may be pain and suffering in this world, but there really is so much to be thankful and hopeful for. Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless!

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever” Psalm 107:1

She sounds like one awesome little girl! :) I should know this afternoon (tomorrow at the latest) whether or not I will be watching O this Saturday! I can't wait for the girls to all meet!
