Maverick is ONE!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday, Dear Buddy! Happy Birthday to you! Maverick is 1 today! We had a birthday party for him this past Sunday and invited family to celebrate at our house. Joe and I got a little crafty this time and worked really hard. We decided to go with a Train Theme. I ordered PDF files from Etsy of the invitation and the cupcake toppers. A friend of mine gave me a "Happy 1st Birthday" banner and a matching table runner- and they both matched the invitation. I printed, cut, and glued the cupcake toppers myself. And Joe stenciled and painted two railroad signs to decorate the table. To top it all off, we bought him a train table for his birthday! What Maverick can do at 1 Year:

He has 4 teeth- two front and bottom front
He can stand on his own for seconds and walks when we hold his hands
He wears size 3 diapers
We just bought him lots of size 18 month clothes
He weighs 22 pounds
He can get himself off the couch
He can hold a regular size baseball in the palm of his hand
He likes to throw balls
His first word was ball and he can also say thank you, uh-oh, and bye bye
He gives me a kiss when I ask him and gives my a high five when I ask him
He has the cutest laugh- especially when we tickle him
We already started him on whole milk-but he isn't ready to give up his bottle
He FINALLY sleeps through the night!
We feed him table food and have been- he has never enjoyed baby food.
His favorites are meat and potato- just like a man!

And he loves his big sister! He follows her everywhere and laughs at everything she does! This past year with Maverick has been amazing. He is such a blessing to our family and we thank God for him everyday! We love you Maverick!
