In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace. Ephesians 1:7
Covenant’s Easter Message was so powerful! I still struggle with it sometimes- that God sent his son to die for us, so we can have eternal life. Isn’t that amazing? Thank you Jesus!
We had a wonderful Easter! Danica’s school hosted an Easter Egg Hunt Thursday morning. Thursday night, we drove to Wilmington to see Kendall and Marsha in their church’s Lord Supper Production. Kendall played Nathaniel and Marsha sang “Amazing Grace”. We really enjoyed it. We even got to spend some time with Baby Addie and she was just precious!
We took Danica to the Reedy Branch OFWB Church Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning and to Covenant’s Easter Egg Hunt after Saturday Night Service. We decided to go to service Saturday night since we were going to church anyway for the hunt and because I offered to help in the 2-year-old classroom on Sunday. After taking care of 18 2-year-olds (don’t worry, I had help) we met Joe’s family for lunch to celebrate Easter and Gan-Gan’s birthday. Danica sang him the Happy Birthday song. Then she started singing it to everyone else. It was so funny.
I’ve been preparing Danica for Easter all month by reading Happy Easter, Little Critter. I tried changing the words so I wouldn’t have to say “candy”, but it didn’t work. By the end of the book, she would say, “I like candies, too.” However, I asked the Easter Bunny not to put too much candy in her basket since she found so much of it at the Easter Egg Hunts. Of course, Danica was thrilled about her Easter Basket. She got sidewalk chalk and was ready to color when we finally arrived home.
I hope everyone else had a Happy Easter!
